Michael Prewitt
Hi there, I'm Michael Prewitt. You might know me as a mandolin player who toured with the Grammy-nominated ensemble Special Consensus for a few years. Having recorded two albums in 2024 as a frontman, I'm taking my songs, and my excellent band (including Max Wareham, of Peter Rowan Band) out on the road.
Roy, Talmage & Heron
Steve Roy, Old Time Dave Talmage and Scott Heron have been performing in the New Hampshire Seacoast for years. Their brand of Americana music features old folk songs, rocking fiddle tunes, country ballads, and classic bluegrass numbers. Fiddles ring and banjos sing when this trio brings their down-home sound to the stage.

The Trichomes with Dysfunktone and Mono Means One opening
Saturday May 10th

https://www.trichomesmusic.com/
Drawing inspiration from the psychedelic revolution of the 1960s, the funk-infused sounds of the '70s, and "modern" rock The Trichomes pay homage to their musical forebears while carving out a distinct and electrifying sound of their own. With influences ranging from Jimi Hendrix and Funkadelic to King Gizzard and Vulfpeck, the band seamlessly blends vintage vibes with a modern sensibility, resulting in a sound that is simultaneously timeless and cutting-edge.
Dysfunktone was formed in 2015, in a garage in East Rockaway, New York. What began from a shared interest in funky music, sushi, and noise complaints, evolved over time into a full-fledged progressive jam-funk outfit that pushes the boundaries of genre and sound as far as they possibly can. Dysfunktone is best known for their complex musical arrangements, huge dynamic changes at the drop of a dime, and ability to weave extended improvisational sequences into any song in their catalogue, as well as their unique interpretations of the music of their many various influences.
Mono Means One is a psychedelic prog trio and the brainchild of bassist and composer John Ferrara, best known as the bass player and co-founder of the acclaimed world fusion band “Consider the Source.” Mono Means One’s sound contains melancholic melodies, rich sonic textures with Drum 'N’ Bass grooves and Mathrock sensibilities. Half composed and half improvised, the music is often dark, sometimes bright and other times heavy, oscillating between chill grooves to almost unbearable intensity. Originally composed entirely on the bass guitar, John paired up with Rob Madore (Drums) and Isaac Young (Keys), of Connecticut's amazing PX3 to borrow some of their “Futuristic Synth-Driven Madness” to help bring layers and textures to these compositions that fill rooms across the Northeast.

https://portsmouthnh.ticketsauce.com/e/frenzie-canopy/tickets
We're excited to welcome Frenzie and Canopy, two groovy, funky, and soulful rock fusion trios.
With the belief that music is meant for taking risks, Canopy brings a raw, unfiltered approach to the live music scene. Their sound combines the core elements of rock, funk, blues, and jazz and infuses them with deep psychedelia and hard-hitting, no-rules improvisation. Tight and loose in all the right ways.
Frenzie is a trio from southern Maine that dives into the soulful end of the rock fusion spectrum, where few have dared to go. Get ready to boogie.

Friday May 23rd

TRAWL
With deep grooves and heavy down-tuned riffs, this hard-hitting four-piece has no shortage of catchy hooks. Paired with an in-your-face live show, TRAWL has sunken its teeth into the New England rock and metal scene. The band has released 3 EPs to date. Their latest EP, "Cosmic Aquatic," was the #1 best-selling local release of the year at Bull Moose record stores in 2023 (a network of 11 brick-and-mortar stores across Maine and New Hampshire). Trawl has recently supported acts like Anthrax, Black Label Society, Nonpoint, Taproot, Ra, Black Stone Cherry and more.
Dust Prophet
Drawing inspiration from humanity's fragile existence, as well as genre-defining bands like Black Sabbath, Kyuss, Electric Wizard, Tool and Clutch, Dust Prophet is poised to take the Stoner & Doom Metal world by storm.
Dust Prophet’s lyrics (written by Kinzel) draw inspiration from the graphic imagery of classic literary works like the epic poem Paradise Lost, Gothic writers Flannery O’Connor, Ray Russell, & apocalyptic Biblical legends. The music strives to blend the band’s love of 70’s Psychedelic drug rock with down tuned, riff focused metal and hypotonic rhythm patterns.
Hobo Wizard
Hailing from the rocky hillsides and dark woods of New Hampshire, this duo of brothers has joined forces to overstep the bounds of genre and smash whatever box you may try to put them in.
8 Foot Manchild
The world's first and therefore best DOOMBRASS band - crushing riffs and filthy, funky horns.
Novakoi
A five piece progressive rock group from New England aims to take you on a psychedelic journey through the cosmos and beyond.

The band's sonic elements pay homage to its influences -- 70's Funk and Soul music spiced with touches of Latin rhythms and seasoned with a touch of Hip Hop -- creating a uniquely funky and fresh listening experience. The 11-piece band complements its seamlessly tight hooks and dance grooves with bouts of over-the-top musicianship, and the result is a sound and performance that is music
